The Scarecrow is very cheerful and loyal to his friends. A brain is all the Scarecrow's desire as he accompanies Dorothy throughout the way of seeing the Wizard of Oz. A man is full of straws, which makes him assume that he, the Scarecrow, has no brain and is not intelligent; he cannot think like other people. Even though he convinced himself like that, he always came up with bright ideas and solutions while on the group's journey. It hints that he does have a brain all along. He is later recognized as the wisest man of Oz.
